ABOUT FAMILIES - BY FAMILIES

This section of our website showcases initiatives of people with disability and their families, carers and friends who have found creative and innovative solutions to assist them “to achieve what they want to achieve, live how they choose to live and are valued as full and equal members of their community”. (Visions and Values, Future Directions: Challenge 2014, DHCS).

• My home shares with you some of the different living and accommodation options people with disability and their families have chosen or are seeking.

• My work gives a glimpse of some of the many ways people with disability are employed - in paid or voluntary jobs, business enterprises or simply, in meaningful activities to do each day.
  

• I can is about people with disability enjoying life - just like everyone else.

• Family support groups: Families working together to support each other and bring about change.
